Discuss Research
Have a conversation with your patients about NAFLD & NASH and ask if they are interested in research. Let them know some one from Pinnacle will call them.
Current Labs
Make sure there is a set of current labs or order if needed. Preferably a set of LFTs, CMP & CBC.
Get a FibroScan
Order a FibroScan if one has not been done in the past 6 months.
Consider Biopsy
Historical liver biopsies are a terrific plus. Please consider obtaining a biopsy prior to referring when possible.
Medical History
Patients with recent cancer history (2 years) will not be eligible
